Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of every child at Little Miracles Stay & Play is something we take seriously. This page explains how we keep children safe and what we ask of everyone who attends.
Children remain with their parent or carer
Little Miracles is a stay-and-play group. Children are the responsibility of their accompanying parent or carer at all times throughout the session. We do not provide childcare, and children should not be left unattended at any point.
A safe and supervised environment
Our sessions are run by a small team of volunteers who are committed to creating a warm, safe space for families. The venue is set up with children's safety in mind, and we ask all adults to be mindful of the children around them.
DBS-checked volunteers
All of our volunteers hold a current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. This is reviewed and renewed in line with the requirements of our host church, Halford House.
Safeguarding policy
Little Miracles operates under the safeguarding policy of Halford House Christian Fellowship. We are committed to the protection of children and vulnerable adults. Please speak to a volunteer if you would like more information on this policy.
If you have a concern
If you have a safeguarding concern during a session, please speak to one of our team immediately. We have safeguarding leads, and posters displaying their details are located at the Little Miracles venue. We will take all concerns seriously and act in accordance with our safeguarding policy. Photography and social media
Please be mindful when taking photos during sessions. We ask that you do not photograph or film other people's children without their parent or carer's permission. If you share photos on social media, please ensure no other children are identifiable in the image.
